The American Red Cross Southwest Region Blood Services helps patients in more than 80 hospitals throughout Oklahoma and Texas.

On the average volunteer shift, 10 or more pints of blood are collected. Each of which can be used to save three hospital patients.

The blood you help collect will go to treat burn patients, accident victims, premature babies, cancer patients and other who desperately need it.

If you do not live close to a fixed site, there are other ways to help. These include sponsoring a blood drive in your community, coordinating a blood drive in your community or being a volunteer blood donor or volunteer platelet donor.
