About Us
Red Cross Southwest Region Blood Services

American Red Cross Southwest Region began in 1949 with its first location in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was one of the first cooperative donor centers in the United States. The Southwest region now covers over 900 miles from the Oklahoma/Kansas border to Harlingen, Texas. Blood collection occurs at fixed sites located in Tulsa, Dallas, Wichita Falls, Waco, Bryan/College Station and Harlingen and is delivered to numerous hospitals within the Region's coverage area.

Mobile blood drive sites are served in various ways depending on size and space accessibility. The American Red Cross Southwest Region operates 8 buses and SCU (self contained units) that travel to locations where no on-site space is available. Bloodmobiles, or on-site blood drives, can be tailored to fit any size group, with donor expresses operating for drives of 15-25.
